On Saturday, I called Bruce and told him I was on my way around 8 a.m.  I got to Bruce's around 8:30 a.m.  We put my stuff in Bruce's car and we left around 9 a.m.  We got to Bean Blossom around 10 a.m.  We drove around and found Uncle Donnie.  It was in a wooded area so it was cool (it was 95 degrees that day).  Bruce parked the car there so our instruments would stay cool all day.  We walked up to the stage and set up our chairs.  Then we got something to eat.  Then we went back to the car where Uncle Donnie was and he just woke up.  We sat around and talked for a few minutes and then we went to the stage area to see the Charlie Sizemore Band.  I took some pictures of them and video.  Then we left and went back to the camp area.  We went back to the stage and saw Alecia Nugent.  Afterwards, I got her Cd and she autographed it for me.  Then I got a picture with her.  Then we walked around and looked at stuff.  Then I went back to the car to cool down.  Then we walked over to see some people Uncle Donnie and Bruce knew.  Then we went and got something to eat.  Then we rode the tractor ride.  We went back to the campsite for a little bit.  Then we went back to the stage and watched a few bands play.  I bought 2 t-shirts.  We helped Uncle Donnie pack up.  Then we went over to where Tyler and Vicki was and played  music with them.  We finally left around 2:30 a.m.  I got home around 4:30 a.m.


On my birthday, I got up at 11 a.m.  I got ready, and left for Bruce's house around 12:30 p.m.  I got there around 1:15 p.m.  I helped as much as I could but it was so hot outside.  Kimmy, James, the baby, Karen, Ed, Johnny, Vicki, Vicki's mom, Randy, Tyler, Ashley, Grandma Elizabeth, Uncle Gary, and my dad.  We ate first, then we played music.  Johnny was the first to leave and then my dad because it was hot (Johnny had to work).  Grandma Elizabeth and Uncle Gary left next.  The rest of us stayed until approx. 6:30 p.m.  We all helped clean up.  I had fun!

Vicki and Randy brought us Taco Bell up to the hospital around 5 p.m.  They had to leave before 6 p.m. because they had to be downtown for a dinner.  Some of James family and friends came by for a visit around 7:45 p.m.  I left around 8:15 p.m.  Kimmy and the baby are supposed to go home tomorrow.  Then they are going over to Karen and Ed's house for a dinner.

Right now we are on the way to go see Uncle Martin.  He is in the nursing home on 10th street.  I went to my mom's grave about an hour ago. Yesterday, I went over to Bruce's about 2 p.m. he gave me a guitar lesson.  Then I helped him clean the house.  Vicki, Tyler and Vicki's mom came over.  Also a mandolin player too.  Bruce made chili for everyone.  We played music until around 10:30 p.m. On Friday, I went over to Bruce's and Ed, Karen, Vicki, Tyler, Vicki's mom, and two other pickers were there.  Kimmy, James and the baby arrived after I did.  Then Bruce arrived last.  He was in Minnesota and his brother picked him up from the airport.  I helped him carry his stuff in. Then everyone else arrived.  We played music until around 1 a.m. On Wednesday, Kimmy and I went out to Bruce's while he was gone in Minnesota and cleaned his house.  Grandma Elizabeth was also over and helped clean too.  We left around 6 p.m. ...
