Today is Mother's Day. After church I am going to go with Kimmy to put flowers on my mother's grave and then I might go out to eat with Kimmy, James and the baby.
On Monday, May 7, 2007 Uncle Martin passed away. The last time I saw him was on May 6, 2007 and he was not doing too well. We went over to his house on Wednesday and cleaned his house. It was hard. It had not even been a year since my mom died and now my Uncle Martin. The time that we have with our loved ones is precious. Each day is a gift. We should live each day as though it was our last and imagine it was the last time you were going to see that loved one. Also cherish every good memory you have with your family and friends and don't let the bad one's interrupt your precious moments or memories. Bad memories are very hard to forget sometimes but if we pray to our Heavenly Father for help and plead our cause he will help us not forget them but to replace them with the good ones and help us live our life and move forward so we can be happy because our Father in Heaven wants us to be happy.
On Thursday, I got ready and left around 2:30 p.m. for the viewing at Stevens on 10th st. I brought the flowers we got in with me.
On Friday, I got ready and we left for the funeral at Holy Trinity church in Haughville around 9:15 a.m. Kimmy, James, the baby, Johnny and I sat in the same pew. My cousin Vincent Lampert gave the service. Afterwards, we had a dinner across the street. Then we went to Stevens to pick up the flowers.
Then when I got home I got ready to go to Martha's Orchard. I had to stop at Wal-Mart and return my shoes. Then I had to go to Kroger's to get a birthday cake, angel food cake and blueberries for Vicki and Ed's birthday. I got to the Orchard around 6 p.m. I set my camera's up in the back and the band went and practiced outside behind the barn. I took some pictures of the band outside for a few minutes. Then I went back in right before it was time for them to play. I set my video camera up. I video taped them playing music. I tried to take pictures in between songs and towards the end of the show. Aunt Pauline, Aunt Susie, Aunt Dede, Aunt Dana, Aunt Judy, Grandma Elizabeth, Uncle Gary, Michael, Johnny, Bruce, Kimmy, James, the baby, were all there plus friends of the family. Then my friends from church came. After the show, the band played music outside at the tables for awhile. I stayed until around midnight.
On Saturday, I got up around 10 a.m. I watched a movie and practiced my guitar. Then I cleaned. I got ready for Ed and Karen's house. Kimmy, James and the baby rode with me in my car. We left around 5:30 p.m. We got there around 6:30 p.m. We stopped to get gas and drinks. We had a cookout and played games for Vicki and Ed's birthday. We also had cake. Then we watched the tape that Randy had taped at the Orchard last night. We left around midnight.
