Kimmy and I went to Waffle House for breakfast. Then we went out to Bruce's house so Kimmy could get Nathanial's clothes for the funeral and I could get my air mattress and the Ensign for July and August. We talked about the music for the funeral. There is a lot of stuff to be done a lot more than what I thought of at first. When someone you love passes away, it's nothing like you could ever imagine especially when it is your mother. At times I think I am going to be okay but then I see, think, hear, smell, feel or remember something that reminds me of my mother and I think how am I going to go a whole day let alone the rest of my life with her. But I try to remind myself that I have to take it day by day. She was my best friend and no one will ever take her place. I love my mother and I wish more people in the world had mother's like her. She taught me a great deal about sacrifice. She sacrificed a lot for us kids when we were young and throughout all of our lives. She was a very brave and strong woman. I am going to miss her. She also taught me about sharing your talent with others. She had stage fright but still continued to sing and play for others. She even got up and sang when she was sick. Tomorrow is the viewing at Hampton-Gentry in Plainfield. We are going to drop off the picture boards and flowers at 1 p.m. Then we are all going to get something to eat. We are coming back at 3 p.m. (family arrives 1 hour early). Then the viewing is 4-8 p.m. On Saturday, we have to be at the church at 9:30 a.m. for the closing of the casket (for family members only) in the Relief Society room. Then the services start at 10:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 a.m. Then it is the grave side services. Then they are doing a dinner for us at the church. Then Jodi at Martha's Orchard is opening it for all of us so we can get together to remember my mom and to play music. I am glad for all the people that are helping us and that loved my mom so much.
