On Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at 5:15 a.m. my mom passed away.  Sunday she seemed to be doing better.  We had Sacrament together in her hospital room.  I fed her dinner and then I told her I loved her and that I would see her tomorrow after work.  I went to work on Monday at 6 a.m.  I got a call at work on Monday at 12:30 p.m. I was with my manager in the van in Plainfield.  We were in the Rally's drive-thru getting a coke.  My sister said "you need to get to the hospital right now, my mom is bad."  She wouldn't tell me anything else. That was it and I knew it was bad.  I told my manager I probably wouldn't be in the next day.  We got back to the group home and I got in my car and left. I went straight to the hospital.  When I got there, my mom's doctor told me that basically my mom would not make it through the night.  I could not remember what all she said to me.  I remember at that point just feeling like I already knew that it was going to happen but just not this soon.  My church group came and one of the guys made me a hat.  They left around nine-thirty p.m.  Brother Wilson gave me a blessing.  I went into my mom's room a few times but it was hard for me to see her like that because I like to remember her the way she was.  Not suffering and happy.  I went in her room at some point during the night and sang a few songs; "Farther Along", "Blue Kentucky Girl" and a few other songs.  I was in her room when she took her last breath.  I like to remember my mom the way she was.  She is no longer suffering.  I have such wonderful family and friends.  That helps me sometimes to be surrounded by them.  I am glad for everyone of them.  I hope they know they have helped me through this.  I left the hospital on Tuesday and went with Aunt Judy out to Bruce and my mom's house to get my mom's stuff.  Then I went back to Aunt Pauline's.  I left Aunt Pauline's house around eleven-thirty a.m.  Kimmy, James and I left around 12:15 p.m. to go to funeral home in Plainfield to meet Bruce, Grandma Elizabeth and Brother Stoker.  We did the arrangements for the funeral and we got done around 3 p.m.  On Wednesday, my sister and I went to Wal-Mart to develop the pictures and then we went to Sam's to find the flowers.  We didn't find any flowers.  When we got home we ordered some for the casket online.  Then we called Stacy and she came over to help us with the picture boards.  We ended up with 4 picture boards.  We got done around 7:15 p.m.  Sister Smyer brought us over some dinner around 8 p.m.  Around 10 p.m. Kimmy and I left to go pick out flowers for the showing.  We got back around 11:45 p.m.
